The weather’s been so fantastic that I haven’t looked at a computer screen for almost two weeks, so I don’t have any new work to post. But I found this picture that I haven’t posted earlier for some reason. It was the first studio workshop we had last fall.
We were supposed to take a portrait of someone we don’t know that well. The first semester had just started, so basically I didn’t know anyone back then. I wanted to create a timeless portrait and was inspired by Dutch renaissance portraits and by one of my favourite contemporary photographers (who happens to be Dutch as well), Hendrik Kerstens.
